About Us

The Burmese Muslim Association of Utica is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the religious and community needs of the Burmese Muslim community in Utica, New York.Our masjid provides a welcoming space for daily prayers, Jumu’ah, and Islamic learning, helping strengthen faith and unity within our community.As our community continues to grow, we are working to expand by renovating a second building into a larger masjid. This new space will include a dedicated women’s prayer area and classrooms for Qur’an education—supporting both current and future generations, in shā’ Allāh.

Burmese Muslim Association of Utica is dedicated to serving as an institutional motive of enlightenment and social reform through education, community engagement, and positive participation in public affairs. We empower individuals and families by fostering unity, solidarity, and a proactive role in societal matters. We aim to cultivate a resilient community capable of creatively addressing today's challenges.

Our Vision

We aspire to create a lasting and comprehensive cultural impact within the community by nurturing a generation guided by ethical and educational values, committed to civic responsibilities, and engaged in the civic sphere. We seek to establish a model for contemporary community work that balances strong educational foundations with active cultural and societal engagement, preserving our unique identity while embracing cultural openness.
